GFMD Maps Media Development

A test version of the GFMD Media Development Map is now available on-line.  The GFMD is collecting information from its members on on-going media development programmes and will launch the full media development map, the first of its kind, in the next few months.  On a Google map we will locate GFMD members and the media development programmes they are running. The map also has a search engine to allow users to see which donors are funding which programmes, what types of media development projects are supported, and who benefits.

The information will be a great tool for media development organisations and for donors to connect projects and build partnerships. It will provide an up-to-date view of media development around the globe and will help to highlight gaps and areas where support is lacking.

The GFMD is also working on different language versions of the online questionnaire so that GFMD members from around the world can send in information. The Spanish and the French version are on-line and the Russian and Arabic versions will follow shortly.
